The Zone at Work
From theZone Diet

Here are tips from members on how to stay in the Zone Diet while at work.

Lunchtime Surprise
"I take my lunch and snacks to work. Our cafeteria has great food, but not much of it is very healthy. I grill chicken breasts over the weekend, slice them up, put them in zip-lock bags in 3-ounce portions, and freeze them. Then I pull out a bag in the morning and throw it into my lunch bag. By lunch it's thawed. I cook several breasts and use a different seasoning on each one -- barbecue, Paul Prudhomme poultry seasoning, Mrs. Dash, etc. Then it's always a surprise what I get each day."

Not a Morsel More
"I work 10 hours a day, from 12 noon until 10 p.m. I have a routine where I eat breakfast at 10 a.m., lunch at 2 p.m., a snack at 5 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., and another snack at 10 p.m. I rarely stray from this schedule, even when I'm not working. Therefore, I pack two meals and two snacks for work. I make sure I eat all I bring and not a morsel more."

Drink Up
"I'm a slow drinker -- I sip my water. I drink from an 8-ounce Styrofoam cup and tick-mark the side of it, adding a mark each time I finish 8 ounces of water. I like to visualize how much I drink. It usually takes me my full ten-hour shift to finish 8 cups. Then when I come home, anything else I drink is just extra."
